TWO Securitas staff were robbed at gunpoint and assaulted as they delivered money to a supermarket cashpoint.

Three masked men, one armed with what is thought to be a handgun, carried out the robbery at Asda in Mill Way, Sittingbourne, shortly after noon on Friday.

No shots were fired, but both Securitas staff were assaulted.

The three men, who were wearing black fleeces or jumpers, blue jeans and trainers, escaped with an unknown amount of cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 01795 419338 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
