Firefighters took on a blaze that destroyed about 500 sq m of grass an undergrowth.
They were called out just after 6pm yesterday to the scene at Scrapsgate Road, Minster-on-Sea.
They used an extended hose reel jet, portable water tanks with spray known as flexi packs, and beaters to tackle the fire.
They spent a long period at the scene afterwards damping down the area.
