Motorist cut free from crashed car on A249 near Bobbing

Fire crews had to cut a man free from the wreckage of his vehicle after a crash on the A249 last night.

Emergency teams were called just before 7pm to the Maidstone-bound stretch of the road close to the Bobbing junction, near Sittingbourne.

Teams used specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man and allow paramedics to treat him for his injuries.

The condition of the injured motorist is not yet known.
