A woman had to be cut free by firefighters from a car following a single-vehicle crash.

The accident happened at around 11.30am on the southbound carriageway of the A249 Sittingbourne Road near South Green Lane.

Police, paramedics and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the scene of the crash and one lane was shut to allow for the clear up operation.

Lane one of the two was closed following the crash close to the Stockbury Valley Boarding Kennels and the woman was left in the care of paramedics.
