If successful, the children’s home would accommodate two youngsters aged up to 18 years.

Care would be provided by staff working on a rota basis in what is a four-bedroom property.

The application has been submitted by Platinum Housing Support and Care Ltd - a company which provides housing and social care services for clients with unique needs.

A planning statement submitted with the application said: "There will be no changes to the internal layout of the property as a result of the proposed use.

"The property also benefits from a private garden area in which the young people will be able to relax and enjoy outdoor activity.

"The use as a children’s home is intended to operate almost like any other family home.

"The ground floor of the home accommodates an open plan living room, kitchen and dining room, leading to a utility room and WC, along with an integral garage.

"To the first floor there are four bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a separate bathroom."
