Police car crashes in London Road, Sittingbourne

Oops! A police car was involved in a crash this morning.

The prang happened at 10am in London Road, Sittingbourne, and was captured shortly after on camera by Karen Ganderton as her car drove past the incident near the Billet pub.

The patrol car ended up demolishing a small brick wall by the Marino fish bar and coming to rest across the pavement inches from a lamp post and a bus stop.

The front of the car was badly damaged.

An ambulance was parked nearby at one stage and the crash scene was coned off.

A police spokesman confirmed two vehicles were involved.

He said: "No injuries were reported and recovery for both vehicles was arranged."
