You've seen the TV debates, you've watched the leaders' political sparring and we've had the bigwigs' visits.

Now it's your turn.

It's polling day, and now is your opportunity to cast your vote in the election predicted to be the closest in living memory.

Battling it out for the Sittingbourne and Sheppey seat are David Cassidy (Ind), Ian Davison (UKIP), Angela Harrison (Lab), Gordon Henderson (Con)Keith Nevols (Lib Dem), Lawrence Tames (BNP) and Mad Mike Young (Monster Raving Loony William Hill party).

Today also sees the borough council elections.

In Sittingbourne, there will be elections in eight wards:

* denotes sitting councillor

Chalkwell: Emma Bridge (Con), David Spurling (Lib Dem) and Roger Truelove (Lab)*

Grove: Bernie Lowe (Lib Dem), James Nash (UKIP), Gareth Randall (Con)*, and Kenneth Rowles (Lab)

Hartlip, Newington and Upchurch: Anne Jenkins (Lib Dem), Gerry Lewin (Con)*, Richard Palmer (UKIP) and Ruth Walker-Grice (Lab)

Kemsley: Martin McCusker (Lab), Brenda Simpson (Con)* and Mary Zeng (Lib Dem)

Murston: Shelley Cheesman (Lab), Ed Gent (Con) and Keith Nevols (Lib Dem)

Roman: Lloyd Bowen (Con), Simon Clark (Lab)* and David Phillips (Lib Dem)

Teynham and Lynsted: Aaron Donkin (UKIP), David Feltham (Lab), Trevor Fentiman (Con)* and Dave Manning (Lib Dem)

Woodstock: Lee Burgess (UKIP), Geraldine Feltham (Lab), Peter Springham (Lib Dem) and Alan Willicombe (Con)*

On Sheppey there will elections in five wards:

Sheerness East: Mark Ellen (Lab)*, Chris Foulds (Cons) and Colin Howe (Lib Dems).

Sheppey Central: John Morris (Con)* and Dennis Grover (Lab).

Queenborough and Halfway (two seats): Jackie Constable (Lab), Sean D'Alton (Lab), Richard Darby (Con) and Mick Galvin (Con).

Minster Cliffs: Alison Donkin (UKIP), Ken Pugh (Con)* and Libby Tucker (Lab).

Sheerness West: Angela Harrison (Lab)*, David Kemp (Lib Dem), Dave Wilson (Con).

Don't forget to take your polling card to the polling station printed on the front - any time between 7am and 10pm today.
