Part of A249 at Stockbury is blocked towards Detling Hill by plastic tubes on carriageway

Traffic is at a standstill tonight on the A249 at Stockbury after plastic tubes spilt on the carriageway.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the northbound carriageway between Stockbury Roundabout, near junction 5 for the M2, and the Key Street Roundabout at Bobbing for the A2.

Queues have built up after a lorry shed a load of plastic tubes.

A tweet from Kent County Council Highways says: "Stockbury, A249 Northbound: There is slow moving traffic on the A249 Northbound between Bimbury Lane and M2 J5 (Stockbury Roundabout) expect delays."
