Keycol Hill, Sittingbourne, blocked after car hits lamppost

Motorists suffered delays in Sittingbourne this afternoon after a car hit a lamppost.

Keycol Hill was partially blocked between the junctions of the A249 and Newington.

Motorists said traffic was at a standstill for some time.

A police spokesman earlier said: "Officers were called at 3.47pm to reports of a car colliding with a lamppost on Keycol Hill, Sittingbourne.

"No serious injuries have been reported."

Highways Officials said traffic returned to normal at around 5.20pm.
