An autumn fair raised more than £200 for an over 50s club.

Stalls selling books, cakes, DVDs and knitwear were set up at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Milton.

Other attractions included a raffle and a Play Your Cards Right game where contestants went “higher” or “lower” to win wine and chocolates.

It helped collect a total of £254 for Kemsley Active Retirement Association.

Pat Carnell, social secretary for the group, said: “We would have liked a few more people, but those that did come spent money and our cakes sold out and sales of food and refreshments went well.

“We’ve been holding fairs twice a year, but we’ve got to have a meeting before we decide about staging one next year.”
