Sittingbourne's play-off destiny should be decided this weekend as they face two difficult games in Ryman League, Division 1 South.

The Brickies, who are just five points adrift of the play-offs, host leaders Bognor on Saturday followed by a trip to neighbours Faversham on Bank Holiday Monday.

Three wins from the last five league games have enhanced their chances of securing a play-off spot.

However, Sittingbourne face two tricky games, including the potentially hard-fought derby against rivals Faversham, who are only ahead of them on goal difference.

Their previous meeting in February resulted in a 1-1 draw with former Sittingbourne defender Matt Bourne scoring for Faversham.

Sittingbourne manager Gary Abbott (pictured) said: "It is possible to reach the play-offs. Six weeks ago it was looking unlikely but things have turned for us.

"We will give it a right go and Bognor could win the league against us so we will be trying to stop them from celebrating.

"Nobody will expect us to get a result against Bognor but we will give it our all.

"I’m looking forward to the Faversham game. I want to finish the top Kent club in this division."

Abbott should have a fully-fit squad available for the weekend’s fixtures.
