Sittingbourne manager Jim Ward says his high-flying side are confident taking on anyone.

Brickies followed wins over Tooting & Mitcham (2-0) and Ward’s former club Ramsgate (3-1) with a 2-2 draw at home to big-spending Merstham last weekend.

The point was enough to keep Brickies in fifth place in Ryman League Division 1 South ahead of a trip to Crawley Down on Saturday.

Joint-boss Ward said: "If we’d been offered seven points out of nine going into those games, we’d have snapped your hand off.

"Our attitude and application have been first class and we’re playing some great football. We don’t care who we play at the moment, we can give anyone a game."

Defender Ollie Gray, who lasted only 13 minutes against Merstham before going off with a groin injury, is the major doubt for the Brickies.
