Slow traffic on M2 after car fire between Gillingham and Sittingbourne

There has been slow traffic on the M2 after a car fire.

The blaze was on the coast-bound carriageway between junction 4, for Gillingham, and junction 5, for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone.

All traffic had to be temporarily stopped for about 20 minutes while the fire was being dealt with.

Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for further information.
