Sittingbourne railway station staff headbutted, spat at and bitten

Railway workers were headbutted, spat at and bitten by an assailant.

Police were called to Sittingbourne Station on Tuesday at 6.20pm after receiving a report of the attack.

Station staff and private security officers had been attacked.

A suspect was arrested by officers and taken into custody.

Joshua Scott, 20 and of no fixed address, is alleged to have carried out the attack and is charged with four counts of common assault.

He has been bailed with conditions not to use the rail network and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 10.
