Man arrested two hours after car was stolen and chased by police through Sittingbourne and Faversham

A man was arrested two hours after a car was stolen from the Medway area after a police chase through two towns.

The Renault Clio was pursued by police in the early hours through Sittingbourne and Faversham.

The chase lasted 20 minutes before the Clio was driven over a stinger and turned into a dead end in Faversham.

The driver was arrested.

Officers from the Swale division were helped in the pursuit by teams from Kent Police Tactical Operations and the force's roads policing unit.

Police have been asked for a comment.
