Firefighters rescue man with arm trapped in conveyor belt in Bingham Road, Eurolink Industrial Centre, Sittingbourne

A teenager got his arm wedged between two conveyor belts at an industrial estate in Sittingbourne.

Firefighters were called to a business in Bingham Road, part of the Eurolink Industrial Centre, at 6.10pm yesterday.

They found the 19-year-old with his arm trapped in a small gap.

Crew manager Kev Ford said: "There were two conveyor belts with a 2 to 3in gap between them.

"We prised them apart with a crowbar. It only took about 20 minutes."

The young man was taken to hospital but is believed to have escaped serious injury.
