To celebrate the opening of the new Tesco Metro store at the Forum Shopping Centre, manager Anna Webb presents a £1,000 cheque to Laura Smyth, community fundraiser for Demelza Hospice Care for Children

Glasses of champagne and orange juice were handed out to the first customers at Sittingbourne’s new Tesco Metro store.

Members of the KM Group’s promotions team were also there to help welcome the supermarket giant to the Forum shopping centre.

A launch donation of £1,000 was also presented by Store manager Anna Webb to Laura Smyth , community fundraiser for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

Ms Webb said: “Demelza does such fantastic work locally so I was more than happy to present them with the donation.”
