CCTV footage appears to show moment dog and her puppies stolen in Sittingbourne

CCTV footage appears to show the moment a dog and her puppies are stolen from their home.

The suspect is thought to have broken into the Sittingbourne property before making off with the four two-week old King Charles Cavalier puppies and their mother.

Cara Conroy, 30, of Oak Road in Sittingbourne, posted the video on Facebook which has already been viewed more than half a million times.

The mother of three said she was out on the school run on Thursday afternoon when the intruder forced the window and broke into her house.

The four puppies, worth about £500 each, were born on Easter Sunday and the mother, Rosie, was only 18 months old.

Cara said: "It's not about the money, we just was our Rosie back. We're heartbroken and apart from anything else the break-in has really affected the children."

CCTV footage from a neighbour's property appears to show someone come out of the house carrying the dogs before a Blue Vectra leaves the area.

Miss Conroy said: "They were watching me and 90 seconds after I left for the school run they parked at the back of my house and went in my gate and smashed my back doors, pulled the handle off of the door and broke my window.

"They went in and took just my dog and her four pups that were two and a half weeks old."

A Kent Police spokesperson said the incident had been reported to them.
