The H Samuel store in Sittingbourne High Street

THIEVES have stolen jewellery worth more than £30,000 from a high street shop.

The H Samuel jewellery store in Sittingbourne was broken into on Tuesday evening.

It is thought the offenders forced open a gate at the back of the store and gained entry through the back of the shop shortly before 10pm.

Box sets, rings, gem stones, pendants and trays of jewellery on display in the window were among the items all taken in the burglary.
