Two men arrested near Stockbury Roundabout, Sittingbourne M2 Junction 5, after running from police in Herne Bay

Police caught up with and arrested two men who had evaded them the previous evening.

A car was stopped near Hanover Street in Herne Bay on Friday night but they drove off.

The same Canterbury Community Policing Team officers then spotted them near the Stockbury Roundabout junction of the M2 early today.

The crash happened near the Stockbury Roundabout

The car was stopped and a 38-year-old man from Harlesden and an 18-year-old man from Islington, were arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs and two imitation firearms.

Police also seized money, class B drugs and a pair of imitation guns.

They remain in custody and inquiries are ongoing.
