Two on bail after man attacked

Two men arrested in connection with a serious assault on a delivery driver have been released on police bail.

The 33-year-old man suffered serious head and facial injuries after he was attacked as he dropped off papers to the Co-op store in London Road, Teynham, at about 2.30am on Saturday, May 8.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. The father of three is recovering at home with his family in Strood.

The two men, aged 22 and 21, were arrested in Sittingbourne on May 12, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They are due back at Sittingbourne police station on Friday, June 4.
