THE driver of this Vauxhall Vivaro van had a lucky escape when it was in collision with the rear of an articulated lorry.

The crash happened on Monday morning on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 near Sittingbourne’s Key Street roundabout.

The 36-year-old from the town suffered whiplash injuries and the road was closed for a short time after it happened at 10.30am.
