Motorcyclists who have been making a nuisance of themselves could soon be prosecuted.

Officers have been carrying out inquiries after reports of nuisance motorbikes being ridden close to the play area in Bluebell Drive, Sittingbourne.

Sgt Dan Worthington of the Sittingbourne Neighbourhood Team said: "We are currently following up leads in relation to a number of motorbikes that have been seen being ridden in an unacceptable and unsafe way in the area.

"These riders will receive a formal warning, and should they continue to ride in this way their motorbikes will be seized.

"Working with residents, we have been looking at the weekly patterns of when these vehicles come to the area.

"We are urging local people not to approach riders themselves but to record the registration numbers of vehicles and the times they are seen, and pass these details to local PCSO Elaine Cannadine on 01795 419119."
