Olive Ripley, of Lion Field, Faversham, charged with stabbing of man in Bell Road, Sittingbourne

A 61-year-old woman has been charged with wounding after an elderly man was allegedly stabbed.

Olive Ripley will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, December 15 in connection with an incident in Bell Road, Sittingbourne, on November 11.

Police were called at 7.42am to reports a man in his 70s had suffered stab wounds.

The investigation was passed to officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

The victim, who is known to the suspect, was taken to a hospital in London for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
