Police hunt man who sexually assaulted woman in Onyx Drive, Sittingbourne

Police are hunting a man who grabbed a woman by the throat and sexually assaulted her.

Detectives have issued an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack, which happened in Onyx Drive, Sittingbourne.

The victim was walking along a footpath near a bin store when she was approached by a man at 2.15pm on Monday, March 16.

He is reported to have grabbed her by the throat and sexually assaulted her. She managed to fight him off and he ran in the direction of a nearby train track.

Detective Constable Charlotte Underwood of Kent Police, said: "This was an isolated incident, but one we are taking seriously and are carrying out a number of enquiries as part of our investigation.

"I would urge anyone who has any information, to contact me as soon as possible."

The man is described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with a chubby face and brown hair. He was wearing dark jeans, a dark hooded top with white strings and white Reebok trainers.
