Two people have been arrested and a man is in hospital with suspected stab wounds after being found in a Sittingbourne phone box

A man is in hospital after being found with suspected stab wounds in a phone box.

Police were called to reports of suspicious behaviour in Barrow Grove, Sittingbourne at around 9pm on Friday.

They discovered a 21-year-old man with head and shoulder injuries that are thought to have been caused by some kind of blade.

The victim was taken to a hospital in London for treatment - his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 43-year-old man and 17-year-old boy, who're both from Sittingbourne, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The pair have now been released on police bail until Tuesday, August 19.

Officers are appealing for anybody with information about the incident or who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area to call 01634 792555.
