Matt Wyatt feels he and joint-manager Nick Davis have the toughest job in Ryman League, Division 1 South.

Wyatt and Davis are preparing for their first full season in charge at Sittingbourne after the pair changed Brickies’ style and led them to safety following the departures of Jim and Danny Ward in September last year.

But Wyatt believes opponents will be more clued up next season – and that could spell problems.

He said: “I think me and Nick have the hardest job in the league next season.

“Firstly, we play good football and sometimes teams like that because the ball’s not down their throats all the time.

“When we win playing nice football we get a pat on the back but sometimes it’s not going to work out and supporters must understand that.

“We need to be clever as a management team and have a plan B, C and D when things aren’t working out.

“The second thing is teams will probably show us more respect and do their homework
on us. We were a bit of an unknown quantity last season and people didn’t realise how good our players were."
