Police attend car on the side of the road at A249, near Sittingbourne

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into traffic calming bollards in Iwade this morning.

Kent Police was called at 6.07am to a report of damage in Ferry Road.

The vehicle, a white Audi, is then reported to have left the area.

Following a search, officers located the car on the A249 at Stockbury and arrested a man for driving offences.

He is currently in police custody.

The car reportedly caused delays for rush hour commuters.
