Kent Kings beat National League leaders Dudley Heathens 49-41 in a Bank Holiday Monday upset at Central Park.

On top of that, Kings captain Steve Boxall beat Ashley Morris to retain his Bronze Helmet.

It was Kings' fourth home win in a row and came against a team who went into the meeting unbeaten and highly fancied to win the league.

Ben Morley held off some fierce challenges to top-score with 12 points.

David Mason chipped in with 10+2 - his best return for Kent - while reserve Jack Kingston showed his promise with 10 points.

Kings remain second-bottom of the National League despite their improved form.
