Folkestone Invicta's off-field problems finally began to effect their on-field activities, as Neil Cugley's side went down 3-1 at Cray Wanderers in Ryman League Division 1 South on Tuesday.

With four first choice defenders already departed, Tommy Whitnell (2) and Jamie Kempster took advantage to pull Cray level on points with the south coast team. Folkestone's new skipper Jimmy Dryden had put the visitors ahead with an 11th-minute header.

Ashford's woes continue to grow after their latest defeat, 1-0 at Merstham.

Jimmy Elford's mistake gifted Kwabena Agyei the winner, which pushes Steve Lovell's men further down the table.

Whitstable's recent revival ended with a 4-3 defeat at Dulwich. Ian Pulman and Liam Quinn twice equalised for the Oystermen, as they went into the break at 2-2.

Despite Danny Wisker then giving the visitors their first lead of the game, Dulwich fought back with two late goals to win the tie.

Thamesmead went down 3-0 at high-flying East Thurrock in Division 1 North on Tuesday.

All three goals came in the second half, courtesy of Kris Newby (2) and Martin Llewellyn.

Sittingbourne won their first home Ryman League Division 1 South game of the season on Monday night, defeating Chipstead 3-2.

The hosts played some good football at times and took the lead on 15 minutes through Richard Brady.

The lead lasted only a matter of minutes as Andrew Waring followed up to equalise for Chipstead after an initial effort hit the bar.

A harsh handball against Fred Fleming gave Sittingbourne a 52nd-minute penalty which Brady netted to regain the lead.

But Chipstead refused to lie down and were back on level terms through Nathan Campbell.

Brady was not finished, however, and with Chipstead down to 10 men after Ashley Reid saw red, Sittingbourne's assistant manager raced clear before scoring from an acute angle with 10 minutes left - just moments after the visitors missed a spot-kick.

Results: Monday: Ryman League Division 1 South: Sittingbourne 3 Chipstead 2. Tuesday: Ryman League Division 1 North: East Thurrock 3 Thamesmead 0. Ryman League Division 1 South: Cray Wanderers 3 Folkestone 1, Dulwich 4 Whitstable 3, Merstham 1 Ashford 0.
