"Want me to go?" - Sittingbourne joint-manager Matt Wyatt

Fuming Matt Wyatt ignored rival boss Dean Hill after Ramsgate broke a gentleman’s agreement over defender Ollie Gray.

Sittingbourne agreed to release Gray from his contract to rejoin Rams on the condition he didn’t play against them.

But with nothing in writing, Rams caretaker-manager Hill named Gray in his side for Saturday’s Ryman League, Division 1 South match at Woodstock Park.

Brickies joint-manager Wyatt said: “I’ve not felt as annoyed as I did on Saturday. That’s why I didn’t shake Dean Hill’s hand.

“I didn’t even acknowledge the guy. I shook everybody else’s hand but not his. It’s the last time I ever enter into a gentleman’s agreement.

“We did Ollie a favour by releasing him from his contract and we even held a collection for him when he was out injured earlier in the season. You try and help someone out and that’s what happens.”

Wyatt used the fall-out to fire up his side and they responded with a 3-1 win.

Brickies host Hythe on Thursday after Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Whitstable.
