A man has been arrested after a shop in St Michaels was burgled in the early hours of the morning.

Officers were called at 1.57am following reports of a burglary in progress at the Best One Store in Ashford Road.

A search was carried out in the area and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He remains in custody while enquires continue.
