Road clear after crash on A28 High Street in Tenterden

A road in Tenterden is now clear after an earlier two-car crash on the High Street.

Emergency crews rushed to the A28 earlier this afternoon between the B2028 Small Hythe Road and Oaks Road, near the Station Road junction.

It is not yet known how serious the accident was or if anyone was injured.

A police spokesman said officers received reports of the collision at 4.37pm.

She said: "Officers and Secamb are currently attending the scene on the A28 in Tenterden near to the junction with the A262."

Kent County Council (KCC) Highways team Tweeted a warning to drivers to approach with caution or use an alternative route where possible.
