An image has been released of a man police would like to speak to after a "suspicious incident" at a bus stop.

Officers say a man is believed to have been talking to a 16-year-old girl and acting suspiciously whilst using his mobile phone in Tenterden High Street.

It happened at about 1.30pm on Monday, June 12.

Officers have released an image of a man they want to speak to following the "suspicious incident".

The bus had arrived at the same time, but the girl left the stop without boarding it and it is believed the man, who is reported to have been carrying a bag and mobile phone with a flip case, boarded the bus in the direction of Maidstone.

Officers are carrying out inquiries to establish what happened and believe there were a number of people at the bus stop at the time who may have seen something suspicious or who might recognise the man in the picture.
