Two arrests after alleged double assault in St Michaels, Tenterden

A man and woman remain in police custody after being arrested for a double assault, which left one victim in his 60s needing hospital treatment.

The 43-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, both from the Cranbrook area, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

Kent Police was called to a car park thought to be at the Spires care home in Wayside, St Michaels, Tenterden, where the incident happened at 1.38pm yesterday.

A man in his 60s needed hospital treatment following the disturbance, while a woman in her 30s was treated at the scene for her injuries by the South East Coast Ambulance Service

The two victims and the two suspects are understood to be known to each other.
