Two men charged in connection with burglary in Biddenden, where sentimental medals were stolen

Two men from Thanet have been charged in connection with a burglary in Biddenden.

Peter Line, 42, of Westbrook Road, Margate, and Bradley Thompson, 43, of Bradley Road, Ramsgate have both been charged with receiving stolen goods.

The pair are due to appear via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.

The charges are in connection with a report of a burglary at a property in Benenden Road between 12.20pm and 2.15pm on Saturday.

Some of the items reported missing following the burglary have not yet been recovered, including military medals and a rare George Cross medal, said to be of great sentimental value to the victims.

So far, five people have been arrested in connection with the burglary.

People are asked to contact Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/7148/18 if they have any information about the location of the missing medals.
