A patient was flown to a London hospital this afternoon after an accident between a car and a motorcycle.

The air ambulance landed following the incident in Northdown Park Road, Cliftonville, at around 3pm.

The road was closed between Millmead Road and Offley Close while police investigated.

It is understood the motorcyclist was flown to King's College Hospital in Denmark Hill.

The chopper landed in fields behind Millmead Road.
