One of Dreamland's latest rides has failed for a second day running.

Visitors were yesterday left stranded up in the air when the Dreamcatcher ride halted, with the same issue cropping up again today.

Park staff have put it down to a safety feature activating automatically, which they are looking to improve.

A spokesman for Dreamland said: “We are working on ways to make the automatic safety feature more practical for operation.

"One of our rides stopped yesterday due to this.

"All guests on the ride were disembarked within a few minutes and the ride was reopened shortly afterwards."

The ride's name was selected from more than 2,900 entries to a competition the park ran.
