Man arrested in Surrey Road, Cliftonville, after armed police called to disturbance

Armed police were called to a disturbance this morning.

Officers were sent to a home in Surrey Road, Cliftonville, at 10.50am.

It is understood about seven police vehicles attended.

A 19-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and common assault. He remains in custody.

Officers remain at the scene as part of their inquiries.
