A 51-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of cannabis plants in a Margate home.

Police say a number of the illegal plants were found at the property in Canterbury Road.

Officers remain at the house following the arrest on Tuesday and are continuing to make inquiries.

The arrested man has been released on bail until Wednesday, September 5.
