Margate woman Maria Francis charged with attempted murder as man fights for life at the QEQM Hospital in Margate after stabbing

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a Thanet man was stabbed.
Maria Francis, of Ethelbert Terrace, Margate, was arrested after police were called to the QEQM Hospital, in Margate, on Sunday afternoon.
The 42-year-old was charged with attempted murder shortly before midnight yesterday and is due before magistrates.
Francis is set to appear via virtual link at Canterbury Magistrates' Court today.
Kent Police said officers were called to the hospital to reports a Westgate man had been seriously assaulted.
A spokesman said the 32-year-old remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
The woman was arrested at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, in St Peters Road, at 4.15pm.
