Bomb disposal squad called to Hollicondane Road, Ramsgate after suspected Second World War shells found

A bomb disposal squad have been called to a house in Thanet after suspected Second World War shells were found in a garden.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team are at the home in Hollicondane Road in Ramsgate after the discovery this morning.

Police closed the A254 Margate Road in both directions between Shah Place and St Lukes Avenue as a precaution while they waited for specialists to arrive.

Hollicondane Road was also closed, however all roads have since reopened.

Officers left the scene while the EOD team respond to the incident.
