Mass Broadstairs street brawl leaves man in hospital with head injuries as High Street sealed off by Kent Police

A brawl involving more than 20 people in Broadstairs early today ended with a man in hospital with head injuries.

The 31-year-old victim was discovered injured when police were called to a disturbance in the High Street at about 12.30am.

He was taken to hospital with head injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The brawl is believed to have started at Broadstairs station when a large group of men and women became involved in a fight.

Many people involved had fled before police arrived.

Forensic investigation teams carried out a search outside the Bradstow Mill pub in the High Street and the area was sealed off with police tape throughout the morning.
