Man taken to hospital with stab wound after being arrested in St John's Avenue, Ramsgate

A burglary suspect was taken to hospital with stab wounds after police were called to a disturbance.

Officers were called to Auckland Avenue in Ramsgate at 4.50am today, where a man was reportedly trying to get into a property.

At about 7am a suspect in his 40s, from Ramsgate, was found in nearby St John's Avenue.

A police spokesman said: "He was arrested and taken to hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds."

They confirmed the suspect was discharged and taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
