Police investigate criminal damage report at Ramsgate cemetery in Cecilia Road

A report of criminal damage at Ramsgate cemetery is being investigated by police.

It comes after concerns on social media were raised yesterday that a group of youngsters were removing items from graves and using a piece of wood to hit them.

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage at Ramsgate cemetery (17412431)

A police spokesman said: "Police received a report of criminal damage at a graveyard in Cecilia Road, Ramsgate at around 5pm on Monday, September 23.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what items have been damaged."

The cemetery in Cecilia Road was targeted last year by people who damaged children's graves.
