Man charged after two women 'assaulted' in Lower Northdown Avenue, Cliftonville

A man has been charged with a string of offences after two women were reportedly assaulted.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance at about 7pm on Saturday in Lower Northdown Avenue, Cliftonville.

Six cars - including an attending police vehicle - were also damaged.

Connor Silver, of Lower Northdown Avenue in Margate, was charged on Sunday with causing grievous bodily harm, assault by beating, six counts of criminal damage, possession of a kitchen knife in a public place and a public order offence.

The 27-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on June 29.
