Prepare yourself for a whole lot of laughs this winter as both Rob Beckett and Jimmy Carr bring their stand-up comedy shows to Margate.

Beckett is back on tour with his new stand up show, Wallop, and will be stopping off at the Winter Gardens in November.

The Londoner is a familiar face on the UK comedy scene, featuring on many popular TV shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats and Mock The Week.

“He is the host of BBC One’s All Together Now and team captain on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

“He is also the star of BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, BBC Two’s Mock The Week, ITV’s Play To The Whistle, ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and Sky’s A League of Their Own.

“And he is a host of Dave’s podcast, The Magic Sponge, alongside Jimmy Bullard and Ian Smith.

“Rob started performing stand-up in 2009 and quickly enjoyed success in all of the new comedian competitions, winning four in his first year."

Following in his footsteps just two weeks later will be comic Jimmy Carr.

He is bringing his show, Terribly Funny, to the stage on Wednesday, December 11.

Promoters say: “Jimmy’s brand new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things.

“Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love.

“But they’re just jokes - they are not the terrible things.

“Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo.

“Now you’ve been warned, buy a ticket.”

Tickets for Jimmy’s show cost £29.50, and £28 for restricted view.
