The Easter bunny was one of the big attractions

A tiny new-born kitten was one of the star attractions for children who visited the East Kent Animal Centre at Woodchurch as part of the Isle of Thanet RSPCA open day.

A cuddle for a lovely floppy bunny, a chance to look at the other cats at the complex waiting to be rehomed, an Easter trail hunt, refreshments and stalls were all part of the event.

The aim was to profile the work done at the complex and highlight the need for caring homes to be found for abandoned animals.

To find out more about the work at the centre and to inquire about pets that need rehoming, contact the Isle of Thanet RSPCA on 01843 826180.

Also take a look at our story "Looking for Love" on this website. There's a picture gallery of pets needing homes, and all the contact details of local pet rescue centres.
