Daniel Bye is searching for stories about Margate people and places.

Daniel Bye is gathering stories and fables about Margate from local people ready for his new show Story Hunt.

Forgotten sights, buildings, and local heroes will have the life breathed back into them with the help of Daniel’s expert rhetoric during the planned one-hour theatrical tour.

Dan said: “Something significant did happen here, and it will happen again, because we are all part of history, and we all, every one of us, can change it.”

Dan and director Sarah Punshon would love you to get involved so why not tell them about a building, a person, or an event in Margate that you think they should know about.

The stories don’t need to be long and it doesn’t matter if you’re a published writer or this is the first time you’ve shared anything you have written.

Send pictures and submit your story via email to storyhunt2014@gmail.com or by post to Theatre Royal Margate.

Dan and Sarah will be back in April with the story booth, where you can pop in and swap a story for a cup of tea and a biscuit. The show is run by Margate’s Theatre Royal on Saturday, April 12.

Until then you can find out what Dan and Sarah get up to on the New Theatre in Your Neighbourhood blog http://newtheatreiyn.wordpress.com/ and look at recent posts for stories of lost and forgotten Margate.
