Distressed person causes delays on train line near Ramsgate railway station

Emergency services were forced to turn the power off to a train line after being called to a distressed person.

Officers dealt with the incident near Ramsgate station from 9pm.

The incident is near Ramsgate station

All trains running through the town were halted but just before 10pm Southeastern tweeted to say the power had been switched back on after the incident was dealt with.

British Transport Police then informed passengers they had been called to a distressed person in the vicinity.

The force later said the person was safe and well and had been taken in to the care of paramedics with train operators working to get services back on track.
